Great size, good quality, attractive primary colors, smooth edges and stack beautifully. Given to grand-daughter for 1st birthday along with the Uncle Goose Wagon and set of blocks and she plays with these on a daily basis. Loves to have someone stack them up so she can tumble them over and then laughs and giggles. She can build her own towers too! Imagine these will be played with for a very long time while many of the other toys from the October birthday are long forgotten. She loves “chewing” on the blocks but they do not splinter, come apart, chip or anything else as she continues to get the baby teeth in! Adults like playing with the blocks too…see all sorts of messages arranged with them that I know Abby did not do in spite of her genius status!
A first time grandma!

These blocks are just beautiful… and my son loves them. The colors are bright and the images are clear. They’re really great quality and I love the size. A lot of the blocks you see at the store are smaller. I definitely recommend them.

My 1 yr old loves these blocks, and so do I. They are sturdy and they have old style charm. The ONLY gripe I have about these blocks is one of these blocks has a sea lion on it, but is labelled “seal.” It’s a commonly made mistake.

We love these blocks. Our daughter started to play with these blocks at the age of four months. She would sit in her peapod and knock them over or just gum them. Later she started to move them from hand to hand. Now she loves to sit and knock them over. They are also motivating her to crawl, because she wants to knock them over so badly. They look brand new, even after the constant chewing, stacking, and knocking down. We have since purchase these blocks for our friends and niece. We highly recommend them.

In selecting toys for our 8 mo (now almost 10 mo) daughter, we wanted to have fewer toys that grow with her and are visually appealing. Blocks allow for free play, however all the ones we found were small, cheaply made, or had reviews that discussed splinters and paint chips and overall poor quality.
We debated for a while because of the price. We couldn’t be happier. She loves them. We love them. They are beautifully made, engraved on multiple sides, painted with non-toxic ink and not sealed (a good thing – the eventual wear and tear is better than sucking on chemical sealants).
She (and we) plays with them every day; we build towers; we make words, we talk about the animals printed on the side; and they make a beautiful sound when clapped together. They are consistent in size and shape (which should not be surprising in blocks, but surprisingly it is) so building complex towers, including ones that can be loudly dismantled by selecting the single point of failure. With babies – architectural value is in the quality of creative destruction not in the stability of the construction.
So far the theory of fewer toys of higher is serving us well. Rather than 4 or 5 toys for the same money we have one set that we love… and there’s less to clean up!
