This Doll carrier is my 6 year olds new favorite toy. It fits her perfect and would fit her for at least 2 more years. It would fit any child ages 2-8 maybe even 9. Construction is durable just like the grown up ergo. Works perfectly with American Girl “Bitty Baby”, who is a 15 in. doll.

I bought this for my 2 year old daughter, who became jealous that she had to give up mama’s back for baby sister. She carries her dollies in it almost every day, all around town! It fits her very well too, and she is of average size. I’d guess it would fit anywhere from a 2-9 year old without any trouble. I love the built in pocket to put the baby in before it goes on her back. It makes it easier for her to put it on when the baby doesn’t fall out! She has put everything from a tiny beanie baby to a 22″ (creepy) doll from her grandma’s childhood in there with no problem.
I took the velcro strap that was the box handle it was packaged in and sewed one side in a loop on one of the ergo straps (not actually sewing it TO the strap..you still want it to move up and down) and this has made it really easy for her to connect the “chest strap” just like the real ergos. Because it is attached to one side, once she has both shoulder straps on I just loop the free side under the opposite shoulder strap and velcro it in place! Without this it was constantly falling off her little shoulders. But I think even without this it would work fine for a bit older child.
I am now going to have to get one for my other two girls, as the oldest is jealous, and I can’t leave the baby out! That will make us a 5-ergo family!
