I bought this — plus the two “expansion packs” of animals — for my 11-month old son for Christmas. I love the new Touch & Feel animals. They introduce a whole new level of play for the almost-toddler set, learning about textures. My son also has the new FP Nativity Set with the Touch & Feel camel, cow, donkey and sheep, and he loves touching their soft, curly hair. I’m certain he’s going to enjoy this, too.
My only complaint with the new set vs. the previous FP Noah’s Ark toy — where’s Noahs’ wife? She got left off the boat this time!

My son has had this since he was 12 months old, he’s now 19 months old and still plays with it. I don’t think a day goes by that he’s not carrying around some animal. I do wish they had Noahs wife, but it’s not a big deal. I haven’t had any problems with the cleanliness of the “hair” on the animals.

I have two preschool classes that meet in my home and I have a month where I talk about character qualities and that month I tell the Bible Story of Noah and the Ark. I saw the Fisher Price Little People Noah’s Ark and thought it would be great to reinforce this story and give the children a chance to act out the story with pretend animals. The kids love it. Thanks!

My 15-month-old got this for her first birthday. She loves the animals and wants to play with them in the tub. The problem is that the animals have a hole in their underbellies, above where their legs end. Gravity is working against them — water just doesn’t drain out well at all, which leaves you with a wet, sloppy, germy mess if you actually let this floating zoo into your tub. The toy is very durable, though, and easy to surface clean. Most of our animals are smooth, but we have a couple of tigers with hair that gets soggy when wet, but gets clean easily enough. My 8-year-old son’s main beef with this toy, though, is that when he wants to float it in the kiddie pool to play with his sister, it sinks like a rock. Oh well.

Years ago I bought Little People for my children who always adored them and had so much fun. Now, I get to buy them for my nieces and nephews. The animals have even gotten an update with touchy feely hair and fur.
I see some reviewers expressed disappointment that this ark wouldn’t float. This is not a bath toy and if you are looking for one, this isn’t it.
