For only 14-16 parts, this set has a nicely designed Space Speeder with neat cannon in the front and flame coming out the exhaust plus the mini-figure has a cool design and nicely sculpted helmet. Recommended.

Now, maybe I’m just not grasping the exclusivity, rarity or ‘perceived value’ of this item, but this size of LEGO set is typically less than $4 in the stores … granted, this one was elusive and possibly unavailable in my region … BUT, while “valuable” to my 5-year-old as an integral part of the whole set, the $14 I see these going for (which, I paid) is ridiculous; gouging at best. Sans the minifigure, little ships like this one can be made from less than $1.50 in pieces ordered from the LEGO website. Boooo.

Bought this for my 6 year old. As usual for LEGO products, the instructions were clear and he was able to build it easily and independently.

Are they ever going to be able to capture this alien and keep him in space police jail? He sure is cute, complete with the fire coming out of his “chopper” while he’s making his getaway from the police. This guy ges together pretty quickly and is extremely durable. If you’re considering this for a smaller guy, he shouldn’ be much of a problem to assemble. There’ are not too many small pieces and he’ll have a cool bad guy when he’s done. Pretty high here – they’re point-of-purchase sets and fly out the door quickly, but look at the giant r toystore first – they run about four bucks there. Highly recommend!

My son loves Legos; this was a bit too detailed and small for him and he can’t keep track of the pieces. Not really the toy’s fault, but I thought I’d mention it. The two stars for durability is more about the minute — very very small!! — pieces. Not durable, as in, will lose them in 5 minutes.
My son does, however, build all kinds of OTHER things using the pieces he still has from this set, so I guess I can’t complain!
