This toy was reviewed by safetoys.org and has small amounts of arsenic in the red wire. No amount is okay to me. You can be sure the little ones will chew on this. I am disappointed that Melissa and Doug. I expected better from them.

I bought this toy originally thinking I would leave it at out-of-town grandma’s. However, it was small enough that I decided to bring it home. It has suction cups on the bottom, which allow you to use it on a high chair or other place. My 8 month old likes to spin the pieces and is growing more interested in moving them around. Very well made. Would highly recommend. Only reason it’s 4 stars instead of 5 is b/c it’s a liked toy, but not a loved toy.

We got this toy for our 9 month old since he loves the bead mazes. It is small and portable, which is nice for traveling. The wood is smooth with no rough edges. The only minor inconvenience is that the suction cups don’t work that well. Our 9 month old and 3 year old love this toy.

For the money this is a good toy. It is extremely well made as all Melissa and Doug items I’ve seen would appear to be. It has suction cups on the bottom which are very effective. My now 14 month old can if he really tries pull it off, but it really is hard for him. It is colourful and will hold his interest in his high chair for around 20 minutes on a good day. There are the different colours/shapes and it has a cause and effect thing so there is a small amount of educational value. It will also fit to tables (and to strollers if the tray is wide enough). It is also small enough to take on holiday as we did this summer.

I got this for it’s portability for a trip, but ended up taking the bigger one. This is nice for small hands, but has only 2 “tracks” and isn’t very interesting. I would recommend a larger one for more fun.
