We LOVE Melissa and Doug wooden puzzles because they are sturdy enough to withstand my enthusiastic children (who tend to quickly destroy toys that are less than durable). They also have very visually appealing pictures that engage little minds. A small detail that I noted about this puzzle, in particular, is that it is a little more difficult than similar 24-piece ones because over half of the picture is pink (the princess). My little ones had a harder time with this puzzle in comparison to others because they really had to register where each pink piece would have to go. This, of course, could be construed as a good thing because they are learning to focus on small details and match them. Overall, we are very pleased with this product and would definately recommend it to anyone with little ones who are puzzle-lovers. Happy shopping!

I have to clean each piece as I keep finding wood dust on them over and over. I hope that I never find any splinters! The workmanship is not as good as other M&D puzzles.

The title of this review says it all! This is a WONDERFUL puzzle. As are any of the Melissa and Doug wooden puzzles. This was the first puzzle my daughter recieved and she was about 2 and a half years old. It took her a bit to learn how to place the pieces, turning them to fit the picture…but once she did we worked this puzzle OVER and OVER. She loves it. She loved it so much she even had all the relatives work it with her time and time again. For her 3rd birthday this year I bought her another 24 piece and also a 42 piece! I would suggest this item to anyone. If a 2 year old can use it many many times and barely show any signs of wear it’s well worth your money!

I live in Florida and use Amazon.com to drop ship gifts to my grandaughters in Illinois. It is important for me to send them something sight-unseen that I feel confident will be good for them. For the last few years, it has been Melissa & Doug puzzles because of the quality, smoothness of the puzzle piece edges, deep colors & how much the girls love them. 4-year old Madalyn is all princess all the time, so this puzzle was a wonderful gift for her. They have the puzzle rack and go to it all the time. Now when they see an Amazon box in the mail, they squeal, “Nana sent us some mail!”
